The WT5800 Locator uses an 802.11b modem to communicate location and telemetry records to the Quadrant vehicle tracking and Telematics solution via the customer's managed Wi-Fi network. The WT5800 is an ideal application where vehicles are operating in an 802.11b coverage area, such as an airport or campus.
The small and discreet Locator device is a cost-effective tracking solution where cellular or satellite communications is not required. Location records and telemetry status changes are recorded and stored on the WT5800 Locator, and automatically sent to Quadrant when the vehicle enters an authorized Wi-Fi network coverage area.
