J1708 Engine Interface provides up-to-date vehicle diagnostics, health and maintenance information, as well as driver and vehicle performance data.
Recognizing that driver performance is inherently tied to overall vehicle condition, safety and profitability, fleet managers have the ability to monitor actions such as speeding, hard braking and excessive idling – in real time.
The J1708 Engine Interface also provides enhanced visibility into the health of your mobile assets. By monitoring critical vehicle operations, you are able to identify the need for corrective action and minimize vehicle downtime. As a result better bottom line results are achievable.
J1708 Engine Interface connects to the WT6000 Locator to monitor vehicle specific metrics, fault codes, and determine hard acceleration/ deceleration and emergency stops to help analyze driver habits and safety.
These performance metrics are transferred via cellular or satellite communications to Quadrant, the vehicle tracking and Telematics solution, that you can ready access from any web browser.
The OBDII Gateway accessory connects to any WebTech Locator Series serial port, and is pre-programmed to monitor the most common parameters, such as Engine Speed, Instantaneous Fuel Rate, Ignition Status, Emissions Control systems monitors, Misfire Monitor, and Fuel System Monitor, to retrieve critical engine information.
By providing fleet managers with timely insight to vehicle performance information and early warnings of malfunctions, Quadrant enables them to easily track and manage their vehicle operations, and to take action before challenges become major repair bills.
Note: Not all OBDII Parameters are available on all vehicles. Support varies by vendor, model and year.
