WebTech Wireless Announces Management Changes
Scott Edmonds appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, Owen Moore appointed Chief Operating Officer
Vancouver, British Columbia – January 5, 2010 – WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, announces that Mr. Anwar Sukkarié, President and CEO and Director of the Company and Mr. Cameron Fraser CTO and COO, have left the Company effective immediately. Messieurs Sukkarié and Fraser co-founded the Company in 1999 and have been instrumental in the development of WebTech Wireless’ technology and its global market position.
Mr. Scott Edmonds, formerly CFO of the Company, has been appointed President and CEO and Mr. Owen Moore, former Co-President of the Company’s recently acquired subsidiary, Grey Island, has been appointed COO.
Glen Brownlee, Chairman of the Company, commented, “It has been my profound pleasure to work with someone of Anwar’s energy and vision over the past seven years. The Company will record a charge as a result of these changes.
