City of Chicago Places Add-On Order for Additional 550 WebTech Locators

April 26 , 2006 - City of Chicago Places Add-On Order for Additional 550 WebTech Locators

New order for 550 Locators brings total of Locater equipped City vehicles to 1700

Burnaby, BC - April 25, 2006 - Following in the heels of a successful oversubscribed financing of $10 Million dollars, WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX-V: WEW), a leading supplier of mobile telematics, today announced an add on order by the City of Chicago for 550 WebTech WT5000 Locators and associated fleet services for use in the City's Street and Sanitation Department for use in Refuse trucks and SUVs. This new order brings the number of WebTech-enabled City vehicles to over 1700.

The City of Chicago initially selected WebTech Wireless to provide Quadrant fleet management services for the monitoring of vehicles in its snow removal fleet. The System has since expanded to the Departments of Water, Streets and Sanitation (Street Sweepers and now Refuse Trucks), Fleet Management, Aviation, Transportation and Department of Human Services. It is also a key component in helping the City manage hired trucks. Using WebTech's robust fleet management solution, the City is able to determine the exact location of each vehicle, from every turn made to every street navigated - in real time.

"We are extremely pleased that the City of Chicago continues to roll out our vehicle location systems," said Anwar Sukkarié, President of WebTech Wireless. "Both the original and subsequent orders speak to our position as a leading supplier of fleet management solutions for a wide range of markets, including large government accounts."

"WebTech was originally selected because WebTech had a full featured Fleet Management solution and because of their ability and desire to work with the City to configure and customize their system to meet the City's specific needs," said Molly Mangan, Deputy CIO City of Chicago. "WebTech continues to work with us on enhancements to their system to meet the City of Chicago's current and future needs."

WebTech's system also interfaces to the City's existing GIS applications, enabling a seamless integration to back-end systems. And the WebTech platform allows the City to implement more comprehensive end-to-end data communications as their needs dictate.
